FishNet Internet Access Service Support Policy
FishNet will provide support for Internet access service clients on the following terms and conditions.
- FishNet will provide support at no additional charge for a client's initial connection to the Internet. This will include configuration of dialup software and an email program of the client's choice. Internet access will be considered functional when the following services are operational:
- connect to the modem pool
- access the World Wide Web
- access newsgroups
- send and receive email
Fee Based Support
- FishNet provides support at the rate of $75.00 per hour for the following conditions:
- The client machine suddenly, without explanation, loses its ability to connect to the Internet. (See also the FishNet Support Policy for Microsoft software).
- The client machine crashes in any way and the Internet access configuration is lost.
- The client installs a new modem and the machine will no longer connect to
the Internet.
- The operating system software is upgraded and the machine will no longer connect to the Internet.
- The client purchases a new computer and wants to connect it to the Internet.
Support Hours
- Support will be provided from the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM on FishNet business days. After hours support may be charged at 1.5 times the normal service rate. Support on Sundays or national holidays will be at 2.0 times the normal service rate.
Service Suspension
- FishNet will suspend Internet access service for intervals of one month, on calendar month boundaries only. Internet service will be suspended for no more than one month in any six.
